CENDI Working Group - Science.gov AllianceThe Science.gov Web site, a gateway to scientific and technical information across federal agencies, was formally launched in December 2002. CENDI, through the Science.gov Alliance, led the development of this Firstgov portal. Development began in 2001 when CENDI co-sponsored a meeting to discuss making publicly available government scientific and technical information as widely accessible as possible. At that April 2001 meeting, attendees discussed agency responses to issues of access in the physical sciences. As a result, the Alliance was born and the development of Science.gov began in June 2001. In August 2001, Science.gov became a formal part of the CENDI Work Plan with CENDI members making up the core of the Science.gov Alliance. More information is available from the Science.gov "about" page. Science.gov is administered as a working group under CENDI. Search TipsSearches are not case sensitive.
